Direct lighting is often used on the stage, dance floor, floral arrangement, signs or person to illuminate them. Direct lighting can not only be used to illuminate a specific area to draw or direct your audience’s attention or to point out key information or elements of your overall design. It can be used to remove shadows, add shadows, create depth, and add personality. Direct lighting can also use color, fades, flashing or patterns to increase the dramatic effect to the overall design.
